Project Overview
IAI required customized layout boxes to house multi-pin connectors, each adapted for specific use cases across aerospace systems. These boxes needed to integrate with complex wiring harnesses and PCBs while maintaining mechanical durability and precision.
Implementation Strategy
It was important for Michmas Electronics to draw on its extensive experience in aerospace-grade solutions to deliver fully integrated layout boxes. This project included mechanical design, PCB and panel layout and production, component procurement, cable harness assembly, and final unit integration. Moreover, each unit was tailored to customer-specific pin configurations and connector standards.
Outcome
Dozens of high-quality layout boxes were produced and successfully delivered to IAI. Their reliability in field and testing environments underscored Michmas’ ability to meet rigorous aerospace requirements. The ongoing cooperation demonstrated trust in Michmas as a vendor capable of combining electronics and mechanical systems in a single turnkey assembly.
