Project Overview
The Tamam Division of Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) required a compact yet robust electronic testing device for optical-electronic airborne systems. The MOSP 3000 project aimed to deliver a versatile solution that could be deployed in both field and laboratory environments to support essential maintenance tasks.
Implementation Strategy
Michmas Electronics implemented a Build-to-Spec approach. As such, the project required a detailed tailoring of every aspect of the design to IAI’s exact specifications. The team designed and laid out circuits optimized for optical-electronic testing, ensuring that the circuitry could support the intricate demands of aerospace applications.
- Durable enclosures with precise wiring systems were developed to withstand demanding operational conditions. The devices were manufactured using advanced assembly methods that enhanced reliability and durability. Additionally, the units underwent environmental stress screenings (ESS) to verify their performance in extreme conditions.
Outcome
Three units of the MOSP 3000 were successfully produced and deployed, providing IAI with a critical tool for maintaining their airborne systems. This project showcased Michmas Electronics’ expertise in creating robust, precision-engineered solutions for the aerospace industry and reinforced their ability to meet stringent defense sector requirements.
